BIOGRAPHY

Paul K. is a professional photographer. After having spent more than twenty years researching continuous lighting solutions, he decided to devote himself solely to art photography for two years.

His series is built around a particular manipulation of light, the inspiration for which came from encounters that he initiated and that have enriched him.

PAUL K. THE LIGHT HUNTER

From one photo to the next, his quest remains the same: to challenge the limits of light and achieve this longed-for timeless moment of grace.

As he presses the release button on his camera, Paul K. already finds himself immersed in his next photo. His ideal shot is always the next one, the one he has not yet imagined. The shot that will make him surpass himself without having to fly too close to the sun. If the image is too technical, it no longer has raison d’être. Maintaining the unexpected thus remains his priority. His objective? To carry you away to the extent that you forget about reality. Just one second… and you are captured.

WHAT DOES THE PRESS SAY ABOUT HIS SERIES  “Light! Camera! Classic!”?

“A series of photographs that will charm the lovers of ancient cars, of 1930s American cinema, of works by Caravaggio and Georges de la Tour. Visiting this half-realist, half-surrealist exhibition provides the same excitement as listening to an old crackling vinyl record. At the end of the light, one discovers unaffected, untainted and authentic emotion”. Marie Honnay.

“Treasures for collectors with a passion for vintage cars and motorbikes are uncovered, previously hidden in real sets, designed for timeless and refined films. A major, must-see exhibition!” Fabrice Terlonge.
